Adam Gemili is a British sprinter born in the United Kingdon, England or Great Britain. He is the 2014 European champion at 200 metres, and 4 x 100 metre relay, a silver medalist in the 100 metres and 4 x 100 metres relay in the 2014 Commonwealth Games, and a former World Junior champion at 100 metres and European Under-23 champion at 100 metres and 4 x 100 metre relay. Adam Gemili won a gold medal over 100 metres at the 2012 World Junior Championships in Athletics in Barcelona. His winning time of 10.05 seconds established a new championship record, and is the second fastest ever run by a European junior, behind only Christophe Lemaitre (10.04). Adam Gemili was selected to run the 200 metres at the 2013 World Championships in Athletics. He set a personal best in the first round, in the semi-final Adam Gemili ran a time of 19.98, making him only the second British athlete, after John Regis, the third teenager (after Usain Bolt and Alonso Edward), and the ninth European athlete, to break 20 seconds in the event. Adam Gemili his first senior medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games coming second to Jamaica’s Kemar Bailey-Cole in the 100 m final in a time of 10.10 seconds. He is a member of Blackheath and Bromley Harriers Athletic Club, and also a former football player for Dagenham & Redbridge and Thurrock F.C. having spent seven years in the youth academy at Chelsea. Adam Gemili is the only man of Middle Eastern descent to run the 100m in under 10 seconds, and the first Briton to run both the 100 metres in less than 10 seconds, and the 200 metres in less than 20. Adam Gemili is of Iranian or Persian and Moroccan descent. On 11 July 2012, Adam Gemili finished first in the 100 metres at the 2012 World Junior Championships in Athletics, winning the gold medal in a time of 10.05 seconds, breaking the championship record originally established by Darrel Brown in 2002. Besides breaking the British national junior record, Adam Gemili’s 10.05 ranks sixth all-time among juniors, behind only Brown, Jeffery Demps, Marcus Rowland, D’Angelo Cherry and Christophe Lemaitre. On 31 May 2015, he broke the 10-second barrier in the 100m for the first time in his career, with a run of 9.97 seconds, however the wind speed (+3.7 m/s) was above the legal wind limit. On 7 July 2015, at the IAAF Diamond League meeting in Birmingham, he ran his first legal sub-10-second race in the 100m, again clocking 9.97 seconds (+2.0 m/s), however he fell as he crossed the line, picking up a hamstring injury which would cause him to miss the 2015 World Championships. He is the one hundredth man to break 10 seconds. Formerly a football player, Adam Gemili played as a defender for Football League Two team Dagenham & Redbridge, and joined Thurrock on loan at the end of August 2011, where he made 12 appearances in the Isthmian League until 30 November.

His first studio album, Thank Me Later (2010), debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and generated notable singles, “Over” and “Find Your Love”. It was certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). His second album, Take Care (2011), is his most successful to date, topping charts in the United States and Canada and producing multiple hit singles, including “Headlines”, “Take Care”, “Make Me Proud”, and “The Motto”, the last of which is also credited for popularizing the widely used acronym YOLO. Drake has sold over 5 million albums worldwide. His work has earned him a Grammy Award, three Juno Awards, six BET Awards, and holds several significant Billboard records. With twelve number-one singles, Drake has more than any other artist on Billboard’s Hot Rap Songs chart. With ten number-one singles, he also has more than any other rapper on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, passing Jay-Z in August 2012. He is one of two artists (the other being 50 Cent) that has simultaneously occupied the chart’s top three positions. Drake made very successful features on songs Moment 4 Life with Nicki Minaj, Pop That with French Montana, What’s My Name with Rihanna, F*ckin Problems with A$AP Rocky, Diced Pineapples with Rick Ross and Aston Martin Music with Rick Ross. Not to mention some of his other own hit singles such as ForeverHeadlines, The Motto, and Started From The Bottom.
