David Alan Grier aka DAG was born on June 30, 1956 in Detroit, Michigan. David Alan Grier also known as DAG (D.A.G.) is an American actor and comedian. He is known for his work on the sketch comedy television show In Living Color. His parents are Aretas Ruth (Dudley), a schoolteacher, and William Henry Grier, a psychiatrist and and writer who co-wrote the book Black Rage. David Alan Grier trained in Shakespeare at Yale University, where he received an MFA from the Yale School of Drama. David Alan Grier  began his professional career on Broadway as Jackie Robinson in “The First”, for which he earned a Tony nomination for Best Featured Actor in a Musical and won the Theatre World Award (1981). He then joined the Broadway cast of “Dreamgirls”, before going on to star opposite Denzel Washington in “A Soldier’s Play”, for which both actors reprised their roles in the film adaptation titled A Soldier’s Story (1984). He appeared in Robert Altman’s Streamers (1983) as “Roger”, a role for which he won the Golden Lion for Best Actor at the Venice Film Festival (1983). His television work is highlighted by a turn as a principal cast member on the Emmy Award-winning In Living Color (1990) (1990-1994), where he helped to create some of the show’s most memorable characters, “DAG” (2000-2001) and “Life with Bonnie” (2002-2004), for which he earned Image and Golden Satellite nominations. David also created, wrote and executive-produced a show for Comedy Central called Chocolate News (2008). David Alan Grier also won America’s votes as a smooth, debonair, and outrageously irreverent contestant on ABC’s smash hit, Dancing with the Stars in 2009. David Alan Grier appeared in the Wayans Brothers’ spoof movie, Dance Flick (2009). David Alan Grier  also appeared as a geology professor at the fictitious Hillman College in the show A Different World where he was a crush of several of the girls on the show including lead character Denise Huxtable played by actress Lisa Bonet. David Alan Grier  made appearances in the films Amazon Women on the Moon and I’m Gonna Git You Sucka. Keenen Ivory Wayans, the director of Sucka, cast Grier in his new variety show In Living Color. It became a ratings hit and won an Emmy for Outstanding Variety Series. Grier became a popular cast member through his characters, which ranged from hyperactive children to crotchety old men. Among his prominent characters were obnoxious, megaphone-blaring shop teacher Al MacAfee; the elderly Mr. Brooks, whose autumn years are a never-ending verbal battle with his wife; Calhoun Tubbs, a blues musician with very limited creativity; a member of Funky Finger Productions, a production company with more ambition than resources; and, most famously, flamboyant and effeminate Antoine Merriweather in the “Men on…” sketch series. He also played Rev. Leon Lonnie Love on the TV series Martin. After his success on the show, David Alan Grier began appearing in comedies such as Boomerang (as Eddie Murphy’s shy friend Gerard), Blankman (with Damon Wayans), In the Army Now (as Fred Ostroff) along with Pauley Shore and Andy Dick in 1994, and as a policeman whose car is memorably crushed and eaten by a giant pod in Jumanji. Grier also gave a strong dramatic performance as an abusive father in Rusty Cundieff’s horror anthology Tales from the Hood. Grier appeared with Tom Arnold in the 1997 comedy McHale’s Navy as Ensign Charles Parker. In 1999, he made a guest appearance as himself on the Aw, Here it Goes to Hollywood episode of Nickelodeon’s sitcom, Kenan & Kel. David Alan Grier also starred in the short-lived sitcoms The Preston Episodes, Damon (with In Living Color co-star Damon Wayans), and DAG. David Alan Grier  had a cameo in the Robert De Niro and Edward Burns movie 15 Minutes as a Central Park mugger. In a departure from the childlike roles he often played on In Living Color, he portrayed an abusive father in Rusty Cundieff’s anthology film Tales from the Hood. He began doing stand-up comedy and was an instant success. He hosted the Comedy Central series Premium Blend. In 2002, DAG joined the cast of the improv-based ABC sitcom and Bonnie Hunt vehicle Life with Bonnie which ran only two seasons. During this time, he continued to appear in comedy films but also returned to drama in the films Baadasssss! and The Woodsman. He starred in his own Comedy Central stand-up special The Book of David: The Cult Figure’s Manifesto. He is also a frequent guest on the Comedy Central show Crank Yankers. Grier was the host of the NBC show Thank God You’re Here. He also appeared in the revival production of The Wiz at the La Jolla Playhouse directed by Des McAnuff. David Alan Grier starred in Gym Teacher: The Movie playing the villain, Shelly Bragg. He appeared as Uncle Henry in the ABC 2005 television movie The Muppets’ Wizard of Oz. In October 2008, DAG hosted Chocolate News, a Comedy Central spoof of a TV news magazine show. Comedy Central did not renew the show for a second season. David Alan Grier  appeared as Sugar Bear in the 2009 movie Dance Flick. He also provided the voice for Kobe Bryant in the Nike puppet commercials.

Hubert Davis was born Hubert Ira Davis, Jr. was born May 17, 1970. He is a retired American professional basketball player who played in the NBA. He is the nephew of Walter Davis, also a former NBA player, and was known for his accurate three-point shot. Hubert Davis later became a college basketball analyst for ESPN. He is currently an assistant coach at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. Hubert Davis  is a former Tar Heel guard, 12-year NBA veteran and ESPN analyst Hubert Davis enters his third season as a member of the Carolina Basketball coaching staff in 2014-15. His duties include bench coaching, scouting and recruiting. He also is entering his second season as the head coach of the UNC junior varsity team. Prior to joining the UNC staff in 2012, Hubert Davis worked for seven years with ESPN as a highly-regarded college basketball analyst and co-host of College GameDay. The New York Knicks selected Hubert Davis with the 20th pick in the first round of the 1992 NBA Draft. He played 12 seasons in the NBA, scoring 5,583 points, an average of 8.2 per contest. He made 728 three-point field goals and is currently third in NBA history in three-point percentage at .441. Hubert Davis  graduated from UNC in 1992 with a degree in criminal justice. He and his wife, Leslie Davis, have three children – Elijah, Bobbie Grace and Micah. His uncle, Walter, starred at UNC from 1973-77 and was a six-time NBA All-Star with the Phoenix Suns.
