Christen Press captains the Chicago Red Stars of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) and plays for the United States women’s national soccer team. She previously played for magicJack of Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS) as well as Kopparbergs/Göteborg FC, and Tyresö FF in the Swedish Damallsvenskan. In 2011, Christen Press was named the WPS Rookie of the Year. In 2013, she was the top scorer in the Damallsvenskan with 23 goals and became the first American to receive the Golden Boot award in the history of the league. During her high school career, she scored a total of 128 goals, including 38 her junior year alone (a school-record).
