Leon Panetta was born June 28, 1938 in Monterey, California, United States. Leon Panetta is an American statesman who has served in several different public office positions, such as Secretary of Defense, Director of the CIA, White House Chief of Staff, Director of the Office of Management and Budget, and as a U.S. Representative from California. A Democrat, Leon Panetta was a member of the United States House of Representatives from 1977 to 1993, served as Director of the Office of Management and Budget from 1993 to 1994, and as President Bill Clinton’s Chief of Staff from 1994 to 1997. He co-founded the Panetta Institute for Public Policy and served as a Distinguished Scholar to Chancellor Charles B. Reed of the California State University System and as a professor of public policy at Santa Clara University.

Sonny Franzese is an Italian-born American longtime member and current underboss of the Colombo crime family. He is currently the oldest federal prisoner in the United States. Sonny Franzese has arguably been famous as the current oldest active member of the American Mafia. In 2016, he was the oldest person in federal custody at age 99. In 2017, John Franzese turned 100 and is therefore the only centenarian in federal custody. John Franzese is listed as an associate producer of the 2002 film This Thing of Ours, which stars James Caan. John “Sonny” Franzese was born to Carmine “The Lion” Franzese and Maria Corvola. At a young age he moved to New York with his parents. John Franzese who was raised in New York City, in the late 1930s  joined the Profaci crime family which later was named the Colombo crime family under boss Joseph Profaci. John Franzese operated out of New York City and New Jersey and was involved in racketeering, fraud, and loansharking. He is believed to have been elevated to caporegime or captain in the Colombo family in the mid-1950s and by 1964 he had been promoted to underboss. In 1966, John Franzese was able to avoid a conviction for murdering a rival and dumping the body into a bay.
